As a DJ I see a lot of these in the clubs, but the T-Qualizer is the best graphic equalizer t-shirt out there. Made from a heavy duty Hanes cotton t, the four color display never fails to get people out of their chairs at my gigs. When I got the shirt I had a question, and Fred H got back to me in less than an hour by email. This is a sensitive electronic device, so handle it with care. Don't let the battery pack dangle by the cable, and disconnect the cable before washing carefully by hand and drying flat on a towel. BTW, if you re-connect the cable the wrong way, the bars will go down instead of up; just reverse it. - DJ Arnoldo "El Tortuguito"

The equalizer does not appear to react to the separate frequencies of sound as the product's picture implies. I tested the shirt with music that shifted between a low bass beat and some high horns, but the equalizer lights up the same way no matter what the frequency range is. This is really just a decibel meter, which just isn't cool enough to me for the price I paid.

This shirt is amazing. First of all lets talk about battery life. i bought 12 AAAs thinking id have to replace the batteries several times over the course of my 4 hour homecoming. NOT SO!! In fact ive worn it several times since then and still havent replaced the origional batteries! well over 6 hours and going strong. The sensitivity control is itself a tad sensitive but once you get it set its pretty good. You can change it to pick up anything from ordinary conversation volume to full blown concert noises! Besides that, it was a huge hit, everyone including the DJ was amazed by it, i literally had girls coming up to touch my chest all night (lol). The lights themselves are bright, well enough to see in full light no problem, but they are AMAZING in the dark. The one con i will say is that sometimes the wires from the battery compartment got in an uncomfortable position and were a tad annoying. Thats no big deal though, i forgot about it after about 10 min. Fantastic shirt by all accounts (good price here too, better than any other i found, and with more colors to boot).

It's a great gift for your sound engineer friends, but a bit overpriced and the cool,nature of the electroluminescent material makes the reds and oranges much more subdued than the pictures would lead you to believe.

Do not buy directly from the T-Qualizer store. No customer service. Purchased four shirts, never received, never can get ahold of customer service.
In dispute with Paypal now.
