There is a pocket inside the hat to put a baby monitor, or a walkie talkie- that way you can make it seem more realistic. The kids at the party were shocked that the hat was talking! I had them all put it on their head, and it sorted them into their houses for the party. Someone was in another room with a baby monitor saying the kid's names and telling them why they were chosen for their prospective house. The hat is just cloth, but, looks more like the real thing than anything else I found. My daughter hung it in her bedroom after the party.

We did a sorting game using a baby monitor placed inside the hat. We said a few good words about each child that we put the hat on, and then choose a house for them to be in. Loads of fun!

This is a really good copy of the movie sorting hat. You can use it as a puppet and it has a pocket to put in a baby monitor to make it talk. It is a fake suede type of fabric with stitching and patches. All in all, a fun item. I received the wrong hat from Toynk Toys, fired off an email to that effect, and got in my car for a 4 hour drive. In that time, Toynk Toys, called my home and sent an email, and then just went ahead and sent me a new, correct hat while telling me to keep the tiny one they had sent in error. Above and beyond in customer service. I highly recommend this hat and this company.

I bought it for entertainment at a party for a friend who is a great HP fan. She loved it and wore it to the Hallows opening recently. It got her a TV interview!

"Discerning mom"
I got this hat for my daughter's room. She is a huge Harry potter fan and I got the hat thinking it would make a nice decoration. I have not used it as a toy or as part of a game as some other buyers have. The hat is well made.
