COUNT DOOKU SABERAug 28, 2006
OVERVIEW: it is a toy modelled after COUNT DOOKU'S lightsaber.
THE BAD: Some would say no sounds is bad but I disagree. SOUND IS ANNOYING trust me on that, its cool at first buy it gets really annoying
THE GOOD: fully retractable. This is really important if you want a cool costume that does't look strange. Lights up.
DURABILITY: Heres the big question... CAN U DUEL WITH IT... the answer is yes and no, Its kind of like force FX lightsabers, it doesn't recomend doing duels but if you play not to ruff their great. What I do and what I strongly reccomend is that you spend a little extra and also get one of the cheaper 7-10 dollar toy lightsabers with no lights and sounds. So when the battle gets reff tuck it away and flip and one of the cheaper and more durable ones and hit them as hard as you want to. But if you want to beat the junk right out of everything
IS THIS THE ONE FOR YOU?: if you are interested in this one im assuming you want a nice red blade, so their is also 1 other lightsaber rubies makes that has a red blade. DARTH VADER SABER. Alothough I like the looks and the feel of a curved hilt some think the the VADER one looks better, if so keep in mind that the grip on the VADERS SABER is uncomfortable, it has the wind sheild wiper grip with looks asome but is uncomfortable.
ALL IN ALL: if you like star wars curved hilts lightsabers or Count Dooku or if you have a lightsaber collection, this is the saber for you. Ebay also sells them for cheaper in some cases, but amazon might be a bit more trustworthy and fast, But check google and ebay and do your research. This cheap thing broke the second we took it out of the box. The light never worked and the platic saber part fell off while he was playing with it. He didnt care he just taped it up, but I wouldn't spend the money on it again.

Nice costume pieceAug 31, 2007

I actually misunderstood other reviews of this product as saying that this was an independently produced Dooku lightsaber. This was my own mistake, so not an issue. It's like the halloween costume lightsabers you find at retail stores, but it's a nice saber if you're not looking for the expensive light and sound stuff in the Hasbro version. The only real negative about this particular piece is that there is a protrusion out of the "blade projector" that is made of softer rubber, rather than hard plastic like the rest of the lightsaber. While it's safer, the rubber does not hold the rigid shape it should, so it looks bent. Minor complaint, but there it is!

Lightsaber. What lightsaber?Feb 06, 2010
By J. Rhoades This toy didn't last 10 minutes. We gave it to our 5 year old for christmas. The second time he went to extend it, the lightsabor (red) part went flying across the room and almost hit our 2 year old in the head. He wasn't even playing rough with it. I do not recommend for children.

It has less quality than the cheap ones bought at an department store. I assume this is meant for an adult that only plans to dress as Count Dooku on Halloween and not for a six year old that will actually play with it.
